Over 93% of remittance transactions sent via the Remitly app get completed within 30 minutes or less. Unfortunately, the remaining transactions took much longer to complete for several reasons.
- Delays from Partner banks not providing service in alignment with SLAs
- Customers not knowing what information is required for them to submit in order for KYC to be completed
- Customer service agents not having robust processes in place to quickly assist customers in completing transactions
- Technical bugs or integration issues that prevent transactions from completing seamlessly

Established structured programs to tackle delays head on, defining metrics, implementing dashboards, and standardizing rituals.

Create a robust process for keeping warehouse hours of operation updated and create structure around how to determine feature buildouts and associated ROI

– Built a playbook for operations to follow to keep facility hours and information updated to prevent failed automated scheduled deliveries
– Created a process for vendors to implement leading to increased appointments to be automatically scheduled via the new platform.
– Worked with analytics to extract data from unstructured EDI tenders to allow us to identify opportunities for feature buildouts and associated ROI from each prospective feature build.
