A wonderful weekend ahead!
In addition to having my usual weekly Farmer’s Market rendezvous and gym sessions, I’m planning on heading to Bloomington’s annual 4th street festival this weekend. I’m sure I’ll get to see some amazing work from local artists, get in some interesting people watching, and maybe I’ll even get some inspiration.
As for tonight, I have every intention of vegging out in front of my computer with a cup of hot cocoa, rocking a comfy set of PJs, and watching the movie New York, I Love You (I’m a sucker for romantic comedies) that I borrowed from the library.
I’m afraid the rest of my weekend will be spent doing work….I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed with my new programming project. While I can confidently say I’m decent at programming in non-object oriented languages, I’m attempting to write a de novo sequencing program in C++ (which I haven’t actually used since high school!). I’m learning a lot with the help of Ivor Horton’s Beginning Visual C++ book, and I’ve finally gotten a C++ compiler that is compatible with my OS (some might argue that this is half the battle). Needless to say, the learning curve is steep and I’ll need to put in more time into learning this stuff so I can get this program working soon.
It is a good thing I enjoy a challenge 🙂
I hope you have a lovely weekend!xoxo -P
